Muyenda, led by designer Jean-Andre Pieterse, is a Cape Town based furniture design company bringing together artisans in a unique creative collective. Jean-Andre, a down-to-earth soul who grew up on a farm in the Great Karoo of South Africa, draws his inspiration from the very earth he grew up on. The vast expanse of the Karoo gifted him an intimate connection with nature.
As an avid world traveller, Jean-Andre carries imprints of cultures and landscapes from every corner of the globe. His restless spirit has wandered through bustling markets, quiet temples, and towering cities.
